Artist Statement
I made this photo series after I was prescribed various medications for a mysterious medical issue, taking various birth controls that messed with my body, and testing mood stabilizers. I was frustrated, overwhelmed, and the medications did not seem to help. I felt ignored my by doctors and consumed by my physical issues. My own body did not feel like mine.
